Tagetes, Tagates minuta, Steam Distilled African Marigold (S Africa):

Properties: Tagetes is antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antispasmodic, bactericidal, carminative, diaphoretic, antioxidant, antidepressant and wound healing. A strong oil, use sparingly.

• Use well diluted with Almond Oil, Olive Oil and/or Pumpkin Seed Oil for Acne & itchy skin, bruises, bunions, burns, calluses, Candida, corns, cuts, insect bites, sprains, warts, wounds and chest infections.
• A little Tagetes can be mixed with other essential oils in diffuser for coughs & bronchitis.
• A little can be mixed with other essential oils to relax sore muscles.
• An effective insect repellant. Use small amounts well diluted with carrier oil and other essential oils.

Precautions: DO NOT USE IF PREGNANT. For external use only. Dilute well before use; this oil has phototoxic properties and exposure to the sun must be avoided after application to the skin. May cause skin irritation in some individuals.

Blends With: Juniper, Lavender, Pine, Geranium, Sandalwood, Jasmine, Frankincense and all Citrus oils.
