Throughout the last 30 years we have used essential oils from the Artemesia family as energetic activators added at the end of a blend formula to enlivens and activate the blend, increasing its power. Only one or two drops can bring a whole formula to a higher vibration. For each blend, we choose only one activator. Only a tiny amount added to much larger quantities of other oils has the activating effect.

Lanyana essential oil ruptures the protective covering of viruses, called the cyst, and thereby kills the virus. It fights viral infections such as a cough and cold, influenza, and measles, among others. Through the years, we have used only a drop or two of Lanyana along with other, less expensive essential oils and we will now begin using this oil in the same way for antiviral purposes, adding one drop to other antiviral oils to power up the preparation.
Wild Lanyana is also known as African Wormwood. Lanyana is indigenous to the mountainous regions of South Africa but is also found as far north as Ethiopia. Like other wormwoods, it a strong medicinal oil and must be used carefully.
Lanyana oil has a powerful top note with a fresh and penetrating cineole-camphor note, followed by a spicy base note. It is a cleansing and antiseptic oil used to treat a wide variety of ailments. Steam inhalation is widely used for chest colds, bronchitis, blocked nose and sinus headaches. Wild Lanyana essential oil has some research to support its antimicrobial, antifungal, and anti-oxidant effects. This oil is not to be taken internally.
