Thirteen Blends in Honor of Scriabin's Life and Musical Compositions:

Alexander Scriabin (1872-1915), noted Russian composer and pianist, provided the world with musical genius throughout his short life.  The Mysterium, a collection of his works, was designed to be enjoyed as part of a seven day performance to be given by Scriabin at the foothills of the Himalayas in India.  Scriabin envisioned a multi-sensory musical experience, pairing perfumes, lights, and dance with the music he had created. He died before he was able to actualize his dream; however, the idea of pairing music with scents and lights can now be experienced as Scriabin may have envisioned.

The following collection of piano compositions were written by Alexander Scriabin and many represent man's struggles and desires in pursuit of higher consciousness.  Pianist Michael Yannette presents each composition, accompanied by essential oil blends designed for the performance.  Enjoy the music and smell the oils, allowing the scents to intermingle with Scriabin's musical consciousness expanding messages.

5a) Smokey Ember Memory of the night before the fire -- Grounding and protection in the face of evil -- ready to face evil.  

The global traveler, Cyperus aka Cypriol, invites us to sit beside the burning fire and breathe the healing sesquiterpene bronchial dilators.  In the face of evil, one prepares by being grounded and protected. 

5b) Winged Innocence 

This precious blend embodies all that is light, with nature nymphs, idyllic forests and giant Rosewood trees.  Lime represents eternal love, and the Angels Awaken blend encourages us  to smell the sweetness of a new day.  Balsam tolu brings ancient blessings into the Now.  

 5c) Transmuting Evil  A vortex of swirling energy wraps us in a protective cocoon, from our feet all the way up to the Heavens, an ascending energy.

The ingredients begin with the anointing of the feet with Spikenard, are grounded by the Oakmoss Bouquet and Mitti Attar; and the protection of the Balsam tolu -- all four directions are covered, to completely encompass the ground.

Neroli, Petitgrain and Mandarin are also primary operators, uplifting depression and reinstilling the desire to live, thus helping us to overcome our addictions, limitations, sadness and despair.  Cedarwood is described in the Bible as a protective charm to drive away evil spirits.  

8b) Flames Arise  Burns away all doubt, allowing us to step forward. 

The sweet white blossoming trees Frangipani, Linden Blossom, Kewda & Mimosa lift us to the Heavens, along with the trills and tremellos of Scriabin's musical composition. 

8c) Toward the Violet Flame  

This blend includes many elements from the previous blend Flames Arise, and then goes higher.  The elusive Violet Flame is created through the delicate interplay of exotic rare and precious white flowers & the sacred indigo blends.
